Memória: momentos que escapam e passam por entre os dedos quando tentamos agarrá-los. Desaparecem num átimo. A memória opera de uma maneira parecida com uma escultura de cobre que se desgasta com o tempo, mudando a sua cor. Do cobre ao azinhavre, do azinhavre ao vazio: da cor à falta dela. Como preencher essa ausência?

Cheia, o álbum de estreia da produtora musical brasileira Mari Herzer, é a materialização da lembrança, a realização concreta de um período da vida marcado pela vivência na cidade de São Paulo. O décimo-sexto lançamento do selo MAMBAREC apresenta, por meio de sintetizadores pungentes, ritmos intermitentes e timbres enfeitiçados uma perspectiva concreta da vivência urbana: a experiência violenta, hipnótica e rodopiante de se habitar a maior metrópole da América Latina. O som de Cheia é alimentado pelas vielas e avenidas cinzas de São Paulo. Ao alimentar-se de cinza, o álbum lança aos ares uma miríade de cores e um movimento prismático de ondas sonoras.

Memory: moments that slip away and pass through our fingers when we try to grab them. They disappear in a flash. Memory operates in a manner similar to a copper sculpture that wears away with time, changing its color. From copper to holly, from holly to void: from color to the lack of it. How to fill that absence?

"Cheia", the debut album by Brazilian music producer Mari Herzer, is the materialization of memory, the concrete realization of a period of life marked by living in the city of São Paulo. The sixteenth release on the MAMBAREC label presents, through pungent synthesizers, intermittent rhythms and bewitched tones, a concrete perspective of urban life: the violent, hypnotic and whirling experience of living in one of the largest metropolises in Latin America. The sound of Cheia is fed by the gray alleys and avenues of São Paulo. By feeding on gray, the album launches into the air a myriad of colors, a prismatic movement in the form of sound waves.
